Our boys had just come off of a win! Even though way in the back of their minds, they knew this would be a tough one...their spirits remained high!
You've heard of hope,faith and love.....this time it was hope faith, prayer and baseball! We serve a detailed God right! Why not be specific and ask for a slippery ball for the opposing team and all homeruns for our Tigers! I really doubt that's how the prayer went, but that's what our hope was....us Mom's anyway! In Jesus name Amen!
Tigers had first bat!
Hunter started us out with a nice line drive....they are beautiful line drives might I mention!
Wyatt had a nice shot out to Right Field
Hartland had a beauty of shot! Scored Braden and almost Abedn!
Braden had a nice double too!
I usually don't post the negative....but this was a nice sequence of shots! Maybe if Abedn had stayed inside the base line...he might could have used that split second to beat the ball to the plate! However, I have mixed feelings about that call.....if you look at the picture....the ball isn't even in his glove and I'm sure he tagged Abedn with his glove! And, yes I know that umpire and I have already informed him that he probably cost us the championship! Way to be snapping Susan! Great effort Abedn!
We had 2 outs and Reece was on his game...He was safe at 2nd! But just to relieve a stress....why not play in the dirt a little bit....your only 7 once....right! Way to enjoy yourself Reece!
I wanted to give a shout out to these 2 fellas.
Zachary Shoultz and Luke Purvis did a great job learning to play catcher this year! It's a tough job and they both did excellent!
Defensive Shout Outs
Blake got hit...that's all I wrote down...I'm guessing he got hit with ball...I really don't remember a bird falling from the sky to hit him!!! But, ya boy Reece was there with the back up plan...Way to get it in.....Heck of a wing man play! Nice Job Reece!
Blake wasn't down for long...at the crack of the next bat....he was there with the pop up! Way to catch it Blake!
Blake to Abedn at 2nd base.... oh so close....but Abedn hung around a little longer....the old Young Gun got off the bag and Abedn was there with the Tag!
Young Gunner had a nice shot out to center field. Hunter got it in to Braden... Way to hold em guys!

Abedn wasn't done yet....Very next play....He caught another pop up and threw to Wyatt for the out at first base! Awesome teamwork guys! Can you say Double Play...that's 3!

Final Inning....we had minutes to spare...we need like 3 outs in 2 minutes!

And then out of the blue.......ole blue who was wearing a red shirt....well....he called it ..... ball game! Young Guns won once again.
Nothing to hang your head about....Tigers played a heck of a ball game against the Young Guns...we just needed 5 more minutes!
